Welcome Adam Grimes - New Head Football Coach

13 Apr 2023 from Franklin High School

Dear Franklin Community,

After a thorough search for the new Head Football Coach, Franklin High School is proud to announce the hiring of Adam Grimes.

We could not be more excited to have Adam take the helm here at Franklin High School. Not only has Adam been a part of our staff for the past few seasons, he comes to us with so much more experience. Adam has been coaching since 2006 where he started as a football assistant coach at Lincoln High School. During his Tenure at Lincoln, Adam has held several positions from Special Teams Coordinator, Wide Receivers Coach, to the Offensive Game planning and execution. Adam also spent time at Centennial High School as an Assistant Coach under one of the top Football Coaches in Oregon. At Centennial, he took on the Offensive roles there as well while under the wings of a great mentor.

Another aspect that set Adam apart was his head coaching experience and success in the PIL. Adam was the Head Football Coach at Lincoln High School in 2009, 2012 and 2013. With Adam’s background, knowledge of the game, his leadership, and being a part of Franklin the past three seasons we are excited to see where he can take Franklin Football in the coming years.

Adam is also a community person as well. Adam lives in South East Portland, a Lincoln High School Grad, and is raising a Family in Portland. All these facets are important to the Franklin Community, our School, and most important to our Students. Adam is great with kids, loves this program and community, and is eager to bring not only success, but sustained continuity from the Head Coaching Role. We are excited for this opportunity.

Please Welcome Adam Grimes as the New Head Football Coach at Franklin High School.
